     Fátima Guerra García

In 2007 I finished my degree in English Philology at the University of La Laguna. Currently, I am a PhD student at the same University and, as part of my doctorate program, I presented the research paper titled Building " Motion " Concepts Within FunGramKB's Ontology on July 2010 and passed the DEA (Diploma en Estudios Avanzados) on march 2011.

Since 2009, I hold a research scholarship funded by Spanish Ministry of Education and participate in the research project "Construction of a Core Grammar Spanish-English database within the Lexical Constructional Model" (fund no. FFI2008-05035-C02-02) led by Professor Cortés Rodríguez. Within this project, I help in the development of a lexico-conceptual  knowledge base called FunGramKB by populating its English and Spanish lexicons and its conceptual ontology.

My research focuses on Lexicology, Applied Linguisticcs and NLP (Natural Language Processing).
